Wheaton’s music students learn from world-class performers thanks to two musical series that are distinctive for a school of our size:
The Mary Bloor Loser Concert Series brings acclaimed musicians to campus each semester for concerts and master classes.

The Evelyn Danzig Haas ’39 Visiting Artists Program brings notable performers into the classroom and rehearsal hall to work directly with our students. The program covers all of the arts, and brings 12-15 artists to the music department annually.
Recent Haas Collaborations include:
- Turn-tablist DJ Spooky performed with the Great Woods Chamber Orchestra
- Bass-Baritone Frank Ward led a master class, coaching voice students on art song and spirituals
- King’s Singers founder Simon Carrington led a choral festival with the Wheaton Chorale
- Mallika Sarabhai brought a company of Indian Dancers to Wheaton
- Los Pleneros Del Coco, a Puerto Rican traditional music ensemble, performed and visited classes
- Sabrina Aviles and Friends presented Flamenco music and dance
- Take 6, Grammy award winning gospel acappella group led a master class with the Wheaton Chorale and a cappella groups
- Balla Kouyate and World Vision introduced Wheaton students to the Malian balafon
