About
My research examines cognitive development from early childhood to adolescence. I investigate
developmental changes in metacognition and cognitive processes, such as reasoning, inference,
and comprehension. I have primarily studied the emergence and the extent of children’s abilities
during scientific reasoning. I am also interested in how individuals across development reason
about science information and how they evaluate and comprehend evidence.
In addition, I have been involved in research that seeks to better understand the factors involved
in students’ differentiating theory and evidence when learning about psychological research and
to test interventions to assist students with this task.
