About

Tania Schlatter is a humanity-centered design leader, researcher, educator and author who is equally interested in content, form and people. She facilitates and designs ethical, accessible, meaningful information experiences and teaches others to do the same.

Professor Schlatter has extensive experience leading research and design for web-based products and services, organizational websites, identities and print communications as well as teaching. From 2016-2022 she led design efforts in the product development group at the Harvard University Institute for Quantitative Social Science serving multiple product teams, advised university research computing initiatives and was a chair of the University’s Experience Design community.

Schlatter co-founded and led the Boston user experience firm Nimble Partners from 2004-2015. Nimble provided human-centered design services ranging from product definition through launch. Clients included Oracle, Juniper, Kayak.com, Napster, Umbra Ltd., Women Deliver, Burning Glass Technologies (now Emsi BurningGlass), CafePress.com, numerous startups and over fourteen offices and departments at MIT, including the VP for Finance, MIT Medical, The Office of Housing, and the Office of Minority Development.
