About
My research is focused on American public opinion, campaigns and elections, and environmental politics. I am interested in the way ordinary people incorporate information about their communities into their thinking about national politics. I am currently working on projects examining the underpinnings of the campaign agenda in Congressional elections, and the impact of federalism on public opinion. My research has been published in Political Behavior and Public Opinion Quarterly.
I teach the following courses at Wheaton: Media and Politics, Environmental Politics in the United States, Political Parties, Congress and the Presidency, Public Opinion and Elections, and The American Political System.
