Nursing Department
The Nursing Department supports students by helping them transform from aspiring nurses to compassionate healthcare leaders. The department offers an unparalleled interdisciplinary curriculum, state-of-the art simulation labs, and clinical opportunities. Students receive the guidance, training and support to pursue a variety of careers in healthcare ranging from pediatrics, maternity, ICU, family practice, surgical, geriatrics, psychiatric nursing or healthcare administration.
The department supports academic and experiential learning based on a foundation of social justice and global health. By studying nursing through a liberal arts lens, students will learn to identify health disparities across race, gender and socio-economic status. Then, they will be empowered with the skills and empathy to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in health care.
